This is a fun little folky song, that I wrote about what I absolutely hope to have. Love that makes you nervous for the rest of your life. Not a bad nervous..but that nervous that gives you butterflies and makes you do and say the foolish things that only love can. From the beginning stages, to that little old couple that astonishingly- still can't get enough of each other. I didn't know what to name the song, so I played it for my friend Nick asking him to think of something. He instantly said "that's adorable". And so it stuck.
lyrics
Well look at me, I am fallin' for you
It happened quicker than I wanted it to
There's nothing left for me to do but say
I'm in this far
So please don't break
Break my heart
I still get nervous when I see you
I have to slow down my speech
And hide how badly I want to kiss you
When you say sweet things to me
And there's no place I'd rather be
Than here with you, falling so deep
Well look at me, now we're really in love
It's so much better than I could think of
Now there's no way I could give up on you
I'm in this far
So please don't break
Break my heart
I still get nervous.....
Maybe one day when we're old and grey
And all our charm has fallen away
I will still mean it when I say to you
We've come this far
And you never broke
Broke my heart
